What to expect

Whether it’s your first visit or you’re a regular to ice baths, cold plunges and sauna sessions, we want your experience at Fire and Ice Wellness in Bristol to be seamless and relaxing. Here’s everything you need to know before you arrive.

What to bring

To make the most of your Fire & Ice experience, we recommend bringing:

  • Two towels – one for sitting on in the wood-fired sauna and another for drying off after your cold plunge.

  • Swimwear – comfortable and suitable for both the cold plunge pool and sauna.

  • Water bottle – hydration is key to enhancing the wellness benefits.

  • Flip flops or sliders – ideal for moving between the sauna and plunge pool.

  • Warm clothing – perfect for keeping cosy after your session.

To make the most of your hour, we suggest arriving with your swimwear on underneath your clothes. This means you won't miss a moment.

Sauna & cold plunge etiquette

To ensure everyone enjoys a safe, respectful, and rejuvenating experience, please follow these simple guidelines during your visit to Fire and Ice Wellness.

Before your session

  • Arrive early – to check in, relax, and prepare for your cold therapy and sauna session.

  • Swimmers on - make the most of your hour by arriving with your swimmers under your clothes

  • Shower first – this keeps the plunge pool water clean and the sauna fresh.

  • Hydrate well – drinking water supports the benefits of both sauna heat therapy and cold water immersion.

During your session

  • Towel etiquette – always sit on a towel in the wood-fired sauna for hygiene and comfort.

  • Keep it peaceful – enjoy the natural surroundings and keep conversation low to respect the tranquil environment.

  • Be mindful of time – allow others to enjoy the sauna and cold plunge experience too.

  • Listen to your body – cold therapy and heat exposure can be intense, so take breaks as needed.

After your session

  • Cool down gradually – enjoy the fresh air and let your body adjust naturally.

  • Shower again – to rinse off any sweat or natural oils.

  • Rehydrate and refuel – drinking water and enjoying a light snack will support your recovery.
