About us
Fire & Ice Wellness is an outdoor sauna and cold water experience based in Bristol, UK.
Founded by Bristol locals Jamie and Neema, Fire & Ice was created from a genuine interest in wellness, nature and the simple idea that people feel better when they spend time outdoors.
Our sessions combine wood-fired saunas, cold water immersion and fresh air in some of the South West's most unique locations. Whether you're looking to unwind after a busy week, support your physical recovery, spend time with friends or simply try something new, Fire & Ice offers a welcoming introduction to the benefits of heat and cold exposure.
Our flagship Bristol location sits within the grounds of Westbury Wildlife Park, home to one of the city's most unusual cold water experiences. Our natural cold pool was once the seal pond. Today, it offers a unique setting for wild swimming in Bristol, surrounded by trees, wildlife and the rich history of one of Bristol's most loved green spaces.
One of our favourite parts of running Fire & Ice is introducing people to Westbury Wildlife Park. Many visitors have never explored the site before and leave with a new appreciation for its history, wildlife and peaceful surroundings. We love hearing people's memories of the park, sharing stories about the site and helping others discover this hidden corner of Bristol.
Fire & Ice was built by two people with very different professional backgrounds but a shared passion for wellbeing and community. Neema works as a lawyer and Jamie spent his former career in sales. Together, they wanted to create a space that felt welcoming, down-to-earth and accessible to everyone.
You won't find intimidating wellness culture here.
You won't find extreme challenges or pressure to perform.
What you will find is a warm sauna, cold water, fresh air and good conversation.
We believe wellbeing should fit into real life. That's why Fire & Ice is designed for everyone - from first-time cold plungers and curious newcomers to experienced sauna-goers and outdoor swimmers.
Whether you're visiting our woodland sauna and natural cold pool at Westbury Wildlife Park or joining us at Old Down Country Park, you'll always find the same thing at the heart of Fire & Ice:
A place to slow down, reconnect and leave feeling better than when you arrived.
We look forward to welcoming you.
Meet the team
At Fire & Ice we believe people make the place. Our sessions are shaped by a team who care about creating a calm, welcoming space where everyone can switch off, breathe deeply and reconnect. Here’s who you’ll meet behind the steam and the cold plunge.

Jamie Winn
Co-Founder
Jamie is the driving force behind Fire & Ice's day-to-day rhythm. Alongside co-founding the business, he’s hands-on in every sense - from the manual graft that keeps the fires burning to the customer care that makes each visit feel personal. He leads our corporate partnerships, builds community connections and plays a key role in shaping future sites and expansion plans. Jamie brings energy, openness and a genuine love of communicating with people, which is felt in every part of the experience.

Neema Abbassi
Co-Founder
Neema is the steady backbone of Fire & Ice. Alongside rolling up his sleeves for the manual work that keeps the space running, he leads on the legals, financials and the strategic planning that shapes where we grow next. He brings clarity, structure and calm to the fast pace of the business, making sure every decision is grounded, sustainable and aligned with our long term vision.

Becca Hackney
Marketing
Becca is the engine behind our marketing operations, shaping how Fire & Ice looks, feels and functions. She leads our partnerships, PR and brand strategy, and keeps our website, booking system and customer experience running smoothly. From refining the journey guests take online to ensuring our communications feel warm and clear, she’s behind many of the seamless touches people notice but rarely see.

James Tattersall
On-site Operations & Guest Experience
James is the steady hand that keeps Fire & Ice running at its best. He prepares each session with care, ensures every space is reset to perfection and keeps the whole experience moving smoothly from one guest to the next. While you’re unwinding in the sauna, he’s chopping wood, tending the fires and finding clever ways to make our operations more efficient and seamless. His work makes the calm you feel on site possible.

Harry, Paolo, Lucie & Jamal
Guest Experience
There are even more incredible people that keep the fires burning across both locations, and whilst we wait for their photos, you'll just have to chance it and head to Westbury or Old Down to meet them.

Nick Corkill
Guest Experience, Social & Photographer
Nick is often the first smile you’ll see and the calming presence you’ll remember. As our guest experience lead, he welcomes every guest with warmth, supports people through the hot and cold journey and makes each visit feel personal, grounded and genuinely enjoyable. He’s also perfectly at home in our setting - an underwater photographer and keen surfer who feels most alive around water and wildlife. With Nick on site, the experience feels both effortless and deeply cared for.
